The dress for the ceremony was a Chantilly lace and silk organza Monique Lhuillier gown. However, after the ‘I-do’s’ she put on a strapless Lhuillier cocktail dress.
Carrie tells PEOPLE “The wedding dress was huge.” ”I wanted to get my boogie on, so I had to change.
Her dog Ace also got in on the act, wearing a pink, crystal encrusted tux!

After weeks of speculation, Carrie Underwood and her hockey player fiancé Mike Fisher were married Saturday in front of 250 friends and family at the Ritz-Carlton Lodge in Greensboro, Georgia. They reportedly booked the entire lodge so that their nuptials would be super secret. Their wedding ceremony featured classical music and some of their favorite Bible passages.
“We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!” the newlyweds told PEOPLE in a statement. To close the statement the couple signed their names “Mike & Carrie Fisher.”
