NOW: The Jimmy Buffett & Friends concert scheduled for this Thursday (July 1st) in Gulf Shores, Alabama, has been rescheduled for Sunday July 11th due to surf conditions on the beach.
According to officials, the hurricane in the Gulf is not expected to affect the area. But ‘increased water inundation’ at the beach is expected.
Jimmy Buffett said, “Nobody hates this more than I do, but I guess, as the song says, it’s hard to reason with hurricane season. For those going anyway, thank you. … For the rest of you, we will see you July 11.”
Zac Brown will still be appearing at the rescheduled show, however, Kenny Chesney won’t be able to make it due to a prior obligation. The show will air at 7p (et) July 11th on CMT and also at CMT.com.
